Practice

Worksheets

A worksheet is a complete set of questions done as one piece of practice. There are two kinds: MCQ.SG worksheets, from our own catalogue, and teacher worksheets, which a teacher sets for their pupils. Both appear in the pupil's Worksheets library, but they work differently.

On the free plan, MCQ answers in either kind count towards the five-a-day allowance. Plans and access has the details.

MCQ.SG worksheets

MCQ.SG worksheets are for a pupil's own practice, and the pupil chooses which one to do. The catalogue starts at their own level, and All levels shows the others, which is useful for going back over earlier years. A pupil can do an MCQ.SG worksheet as many times as they like, and each go is saved as its own result.

Teacher worksheets

Teacher worksheets are set work from school, and the teacher chooses who gets them: a class, a group or individual pupils. They appear in the library whatever their level. Each pupil has one attempt, and the teacher can see the result. Once a teacher worksheet is finished, it opens to the result instead of starting again.

A teacher worksheet may have a scheduled opening time, but MCQ.SG doesn't close it on a due date, so follow any deadline the teacher gives.

Stopping and coming back

Both kinds work the same way here. Open an unfinished worksheet again to carry on where you left off. Answers already submitted are saved to the pupil's account.

Written answers that have been typed but not yet submitted are different. In worksheets, they can be stored in the same browser on the same device for up to 30 days. They don't move to another device and can be lost if browser data is cleared. Focused Practice doesn't keep unsent typing, so it's best to submit answers before leaving.

After finishing

Open a completed worksheet to review the answers and feedback. From there, a pupil can start Revision on the questions they got wrong or only partly right. Revision is separate practice, so the worksheet's result stays as it was. Does Revision change the worksheet result my teacher sees? explains this in full.

Why can't I see a worksheet my teacher mentioned?

It may not be open yet, or it may have been set for a different class or group. Check that you're signed in to the account your school uses for your class, then ask your teacher to check who it was set for.
