What is MCQ.SG?

MCQ.SG is a place to practise Primary Science. Pupils from Primary 3 to Primary 6 answer multiple-choice and open-ended questions, see an explanation as soon as they've answered, and can look back at the answers they've submitted. Teachers can set worksheets and follow how their classes are getting on. Getting started covers signing in and starting practice; teachers can go straight to Following your class or Creating and assigning worksheets.

It works alongside school and tuition. A pupil learns about plants, magnets or the water cycle in class; MCQ.SG is where they check how well it has stuck, find the parts that haven't, and practise those.

What a pupil can do

Daily Practice gives a short list of questions chosen from the pupil's own results. Focused Practice lets them pick topics, for example before a test. Revision takes them back to questions they got wrong or only partly right. Worksheets are complete sets from MCQ.SG or from their teacher. Choosing a practice mode compares the four.

Every answer gets an explanation, and pupils can ask for help with a question where their class settings allow; Answers, feedback and help explains how. Their submitted answers are kept in History, and Progress shows how they're doing topic by topic, as described in Progress, History and reports.

What we're aiming for

We want practice to have a purpose and, eventually, an end. A pupil's past work should keep being useful long after it's marked. What we want practice to achieve explains that thinking, and How we use AI covers the part AI plays.

Progress reflects practice on MCQ.SG. It isn't an exam prediction.
