Terms of Service

Welcome to MCQ.SG. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, applications, and services. By creating an account or using MCQ.SG, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who We Are

MCQ.SG is operated by Okcan Software Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore. Our platform provides AI-powered PSLE Science practice for primary school students (P3 to P6). When we say "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms, we mean Okcan Software Pte Ltd. When we say "you" or "your", we mean you, the parent or guardian who creates and manages the account.

2. Eligibility and Account Creation

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on MCQ.SG. Accounts are created by a parent or legal guardian for their child's use. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of the child who will use the service.
• You consent to your child's use of the platform and the collection of their data as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), parental consent is required for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data of children under the age of 13. By creating an account for your child, you provide this consent.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at hello@mcq.sg.

3. Description of Services

MCQ.SG provides the following services for primary school students preparing for the PSLE Science examination:

• AI-powered multiple-choice question (MCQ) practice across all PSLE Science topics.
• Open-ended question (OEQ) practice with AI grading and feedback.
• AI tutoring and personalised explanations for each question.
• Progress tracking and performance reports for parents.

Our service is designed as a supplementary learning aid. It is not a replacement for formal school instruction, and we do not guarantee any specific academic outcomes. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

4. AI-Generated Content

MCQ.SG uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content, including question explanations, tutoring responses, feedback on open-ended answers, and coaching suggestions. This content is produced using AI models from third-party providers, including Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, and OpenAI's GPT.

Our team regularly reviews and improves the quality of AI-generated content on the platform. However, you should be aware that:

• AI-generated explanations, feedback, and coaching may contain errors, inaccuracies, or reflect unintended bias.
• All AI-generated content is provided as a supplementary learning aid only.
• We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content for any particular purpose.
• AI-generated content should not be treated as authoritative scientific reference material.
• We review and improve our AI outputs regularly, but we cannot guarantee that all content will be error-free at all times.

We encourage parents to review AI-generated explanations with their children and to consult authoritative textbooks or teachers for clarification when needed.

5. Subscription and Payment

MCQ.SG offers both a free tier and paid Pro plans:

• Free tier: Access to core MCQ practice features and a limited number of AI tutor chats per month. No credit card is required to use the free tier.
• Pro tier: Unlimited AI tutor chats, open-ended question practice, and additional features. Billed monthly or yearly via Stripe in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your account settings. When you cancel, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

We may change our pricing from time to time. If we increase prices for existing subscribers, we will give you reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) via the email address associated with your account. The new pricing will apply from your next billing cycle after the notice period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use MCQ.SG for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You must not:

• Share your account credentials with anyone outside your household.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the service.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
• Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to the child using the account.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws in Singapore.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any usage limits, access controls, or security measures.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

MCQ.SG and all associated content, features, functionality, design, and branding are owned by Okcan Software Pte Ltd or its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to, questions, explanations, AI-generated tutoring content, illustrations, and software code.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content on MCQ.SG without our prior written permission.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you or your child submit through the platform, such as answers to open-ended questions or messages sent to the AI tutor.

By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to use this content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services. We may use anonymised, aggregated data derived from usage patterns to improve our AI models and educational content. This aggregated data will not identify you or your child personally.

We do not claim perpetual or irrevocable rights over your personal data or your child's practice data. You may request deletion of your data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Singapore:

• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) SGD 100.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill.
• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from reliance on AI-generated content, including incorrect explanations, inaccurate feedback, or unsuitable recommendations.

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Singapore law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of MCQ.SG after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the service and contact us to close your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
