Plans and access

Two separate ideas are useful here: the plan a pupil is on, and where their Ranger access comes from. There are two plans, Explorer (free) and Ranger. Ranger access can come from a personal subscription or from a school.

Explorer and Ranger

Skipped questions don't count towards Explorer's five answers, and the limit resets at midnight Singapore time. Current prices are on the in-app plan page.

Where Ranger access comes from

A family can take out a personal subscription. Eligible new personal accounts also start with a 14-day trial of Ranger features, and no card is needed to start it. Alternatively, a school can provide Ranger for its pupils. Either way, the Ranger features are available on the account the pupil uses.

What happens when the trial ends?

If the account has another valid subscription or school access, Ranger stays available. Otherwise, the account moves to the free Explorer plan. Practice history and results are kept either way. Subscription and renewal details are on the in-app billing page.

How can a school get started?

Schools can contact hello@mcq.sg to discuss a school trial and the classes they want to involve. The MCQ.SG team sets up teacher and pupil access, and school arrangements are handled separately from personal plans.

My school provides Ranger. Do I need a personal plan?

If the school gives your child Ranger access on the account they use, you don't need to buy a separate plan for the same features.

If you already have a personal subscription, joining a school doesn't cancel it automatically. Subscription and renewal details are on the in-app billing page.
